Microfinance Support as a Programme of VACID Africa

Do you need ICT to Drive your MFI Activities? Seek IS FUND co-financing to help you improve use of technology in your organization

CGAP’s Information Systems (IS) Fund co-finances the cost of consultants who can help:

· Analyze an MFI’s current system and develop a technology strategy

· Conduct a needs assessment

· Select a new software

· Negotiate with vendors

· Assist with implementation

Manage a new technology project

The IS Fund finances 60% of consulting assignments. Each MFI is eligible for two rounds of funding. The maximum for the first round is US$ 15,000 and the maximum for the second round is US$ 10,000.

How Can a Consultant Help You?

Efficient use of technology can reduce operating costs and help you reach more clients. But many MFIs struggle with complicated technology decisions and often end up with systems that don’t meet their needs. Soliciting guidance from independent consultants can help ensure that you are making informed technology investments that are best suited to your organization’s goals. An upfront investment in a consultant can actually save you money by avoiding replacing your system twice.
